As we previously told you, Test Track was due to close at some point in April for refurbishment.

We can now confirm that Test Track will close on Sunday 15th April 2012 when is it will be transformed into the Chevrolet Design Center at Epcot. The attraction is due to reopen in fall 2012.

We have heard that there will be some additional entertainment options for guests to enjoy while Test Track is closed for the summer.

On Monday 16th April there will be a new acappella singing group called Test Track Allstars who will perform each day during the attraction’s closure in front of the Test Track pavilion.

As well as the singing group, Disney is to open The Land until 10pm every night. This is an hour past normal park operating hours and 3 hours past the regular 7pm nightly closing of most of Future World’s attractions.

During this extended hour, Guests will also have access to Soarin’, Circle of Life and Living with the Land. Character Spot will also remain open and there will be some merchandise locations, food and beverage offerings.

This is on a trial basis, so it may not continue if there is not enough interest by Guests.

All of this begins on Monday 16th April.
