It’s nice to know that you don't have to pay for everything whilst on holiday. Whilst it may only be something small, you can get some things for free.

Here is a list of some of the things I can think of, I'm sure there are a lot more.

Why not add the things you can think of

Celebration Buttons/Badge

These are available from Guest Services and a Cast Member will provide you with a free button for your special occasion. It could be a birthday, anniversary, wedding or just celebrating that you are at WDW and the Cast Member will write your name on your badge. It's fun, as you get to take home a keepsake but also memories as other Cast Members and guests wish you Happy Birthday or Congratulations.

Free Parking for Resort Guests and Annual Pass Holders

If you are an AP holder or a guest staying at one of Disney's resorts, you will get free parking to all of Disney's Parks. This can work out a huge saving when you think that parking at the moment is $14.

Free Lei at the Polynesian

If you visit the Polynesian, go to Guest Services and ask if you can have a lei. You will also receive one if you are checking in or going to the Luau.

Iced Water

You can go to any counter service and ask for a cup of iced water for everyone in your party. This will save you paying for bottled water or soda.

Free Photo

If you are a Disney Visa cardholder, at Epcot you can claim a free photo with one of the characters. You will need to visit Guest Services for more information.

Ghirardelli Chocolate Samples

At Downtown Disney, visit the Ghirardelli Shop and you can pick up some free samples of chocolate.

We loved the badges! Myself and dh had the happy anniversary one and dd had the first visit one - wasnt her first visit at all, but she wouldnt have been happy without a badge! Crystal Palace knew it was our anniversary too when i booked it and they put a little love heart on the table made from mickey mouse confetti, it was a lovely touch!

it sure is

we got the ultimate freebie on or wedding day and nothing will ever come close to the suite at GF Johnie booked us a room with illuminations view and we were upgraded to a conciege suite in the main building 4 balconies overlooking MK im daydreaming again here so YES disney does give out freebies

Birthday celebrations at the YSH feature a rose for the birthday woman (not sure what they do for men) and a card signed by the characters.

Many WDW restaurants will give the birthday celebrant a free dessert too.

Not as glamorous, but there is free first aid care at the First Aid stations. You can get band aids, jel for itchy bug bites, ibuprofen, or acetominophen... things like that. Not to mention a cool place to relax a bit and have a drink of water (also free).
