The latest Apple rumor...

No. Not computers. This involves TV. I'm sure you've heard that Apple is supposedly working on a real television. Here's a little more fuel for that fire.

As report by Apple Insider:

Apple is said to be negotiating to acquire Loewe AG, a manufacturer and distributor of televisions, audio components and integrated entertainment systems, with a final decision expected to be announced by the end of this week.

Apple TV built into one of their large monitors and voila, nice TV. I'm sure they'll do different sizes and so on but kinda makes sense.

I'm hoping rather than tackling the big 40" plus market, they'll have a go at more reasonable 27-37" inch sizes at a reasonable price point. 'Have one in every room' sort-of-thing.

Of course, Loewe is denying the rumor. We'll see.

Well I was only concluding that if they ventured into the market they would want to take it to the next level and not only be achingly pretty to look at but have amazing functionality - probably some other interface other thantouch now I think of it as a TV is a 'distant' object

Heavy on the "awesomeness" for sure. I know in the Jobs biography that Steve had indicated that they'd "nailed" the interface. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like if it was good enough for Jobs to claim "they'd nailed it".
