Also kiddies, if you've just upgraded to Mountain Lion and you use Dropbox, you'll probably need to go get the new version and install it.

I hadn't done it and went looking for my Dropbox stuff off the contextual menu and it was gone!

If it's not at least a Core 2 Duo, that might explain his problem. That's why I ended up upgrading my DW's machine and getting my iMac.

it PROBABLY just needs a nice fresh mountain lion install rather than an upgrade but yeah do need to know the exact model before we go down that line I think
