Re: Apple Anonymous
It's when you get a voicemail message, you can check them on the phone in any order you'd like. Each voicemail is shown as a separate recording that you can listen to in any order you choose. Or not. As you see fit.
Unlike a normal answering machine where you get to listen to each separate recording in turn.
Looks like this:

Why is it only o2 that provides the visual voicemail

If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.

A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care.

Re: Apple Anonymous
It was one of the huge apple iphone "advantages" when launched and they insisted that all the providers who wanted an exclusive launch with iphone supported it.
So, O2 had to buy servers and stuff to support it and put them on their network.
After that period of exclusivity ran out (2 yrs after the first iphone) the other networks could then sell the phone and werent subject to the same requirements. They looked at the cost of providing the service and decided that plain old voicemail was good enough
As a consequence, in the UK, O2 pay monthly iphone tariff is the only way for ukers to get official apple iphone visual voicemail.

Re: Apple Anonymous
I have two questions...
1. How do I get my contact data from gmail to the contacts do-da on my iPad? Will it share data?
2. Can I sync my iPad apps to my iMac? If so, how?
I'm still learning

Re: Apple Anonymous
I have two answers. Hope they're good ones.

Sounds like a job for Google Sync. While I haven't used it, there's instructions on how to do so here. Do let us know how and if this works.
You can. But they won't actually work on your Mac. When you plug your iPad into your Mac, it'll sync via iTunes. When it does, it will copy the apps you've got on it to your Mac and they'll be visible in the Apps section of iTunes while you've got your iPad connected. Now, of course, you can buy your apps either from on your iPad or within iTunes. Both places will remain in sync. You can even setup your iPad to sync with your Mac wirelessly. Here's an Apple Tech note on the subject.
Let us know if you need more info.

Re: Apple Anonymous
Thanks Tom for the help!
I don't have an iPhone (probably during my next upgrade though), so the google sync seemed to only work with iPhone. Maybe I misunderstood the link you provided.
