Avengers’ makes over a $1 billion
"The Avengers" joined the elite $1-billion club this weekend, passing the massive box office milestone in just 19 days of worldwide release.
After setting the record for the biggest domestic opening ever, the superhero adventure had a massive second weekend, raking in $103.2 million. That raised the film's total in the U.S. and Canada to $373.2 million, and combined with the movie's $628.9 million international haul, the picture joined the ranks of 11 other films that have sold over $1 billion worth of tickets.
In a statement Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger noted, "“We’re obviously thrilled with the global success of 'The Avengers.' It’s a fantastic movie and an extraordinary franchise that will continue with more great stories and compelling characters for years to come.”
If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.

A friend is a hand that is always holding yours,
no matter how close or far apart you may be.
A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care.
A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.

After talking to Donna and finding that she had no desire to see it, I went yesterday. While the Hulk and Captain America were the only characters with whom I was familiar I enjoyed the movie. I saw the 3D version.

Disney purchasing Marvel Entertainment back in 2009 could be the smartest move they've made in the last 15-20 years (along with Pixar in 2006).
