Beginning on the 3rd June through to the 30th June 2012, 'Sundowner Celebration' at Disney's Animal Kingdom will provide guests in Africa, Asia and Discovery Island cultural experiences, entertainment, unique folk art and merchandise, as well as specialty food and beverages.

The park has done this several times before, with the largest and most elaborate being 'The Taste of Africa Street Party' held in 2010.

Below is a list of some of the things that Guests can see:

At Discovery Island, a street party will be lead by the colorful Viva Gaia Street Band! The steel drum group, The Island Groove, will also be entertaining throughout the area. At the flamingo exhibit, look for family-friendly interactive activities. Plus, nature and animals inspire some unique art offerings in this area.

Harambe Village in the Africa section of the park will have it’s own street party featuring Harambe’s Tam Tam Drummers and the Burudika Band. Guests won’t want to miss the “Wine-Walk & Juice Tasting” on the waterfront, food demonstrations, and special specialty food and beverage offerings at eateries and bars throughout Harambe Village. At Mombasa Marketplace you’ll find visiting artists offering wood-carvings, paintings and jewelry, as well as henna artists.

Anandapur in Asia will offer a cultural street party featuring Bhangra DJ Anaan, as well as other entertainment throughout Anadapur by artists playing traditional Asian instruments. Here, you’ll also find cooking and tea-brewing demonstrations, and, along Bradley Falls, a selection of ethnic specialty foods and beverages. For merchandise, head to Mandala Gifts, where you’ll find an expanded selection; and while you’re there, check out the henna artist.

Guests should stop by the the Jambo Jeep, located at the Oasis at the front of the park, for daily tips and schedules for the ‘Sundowner Celebration’.
