When we were first there I had it all planned but by about the third day we kind of took it as it came. Before we went I spent aged looking at tour plans.
I think being there for three weeks gave us a little more time rather than rushing around. Somedays we just went late to the parks and enjoyed the rides in the evening. Other days we would aim to go early then have an easy afternoon. If the rides were busy we just came back later or try again another day.
I must admut I do tend to route march everywhere which drives my DH mad, but I've always done that. My DH is so laid back he is usually horizontal.

Our first few trips, I was a down to the minute, laminated note card carrying, marching orders shouting, planner. It took four trips for me to realize Disney had become a "permanent fixture in our life," as opposed to a "once in lifetime trip." After that (and much to my children's happiness) I relaxed. I'll never forget the look on Andrew's face the first time I said, "Why don't you plan Wednesday?" Ironically, guess who became a planning czar, hmmmm?
We still certainly go "prepared" but all things are flexible ;-)

I'm a planner of trips in general. But I go to Disney so often that I tend to play fast and loose. We make ADR's and that tends to shape the day

Re: Do you Plan or Take Each Day as it Comes?
We kind of have an idea which parks we will hit and where we will have dinner but no real planning after that. We also blown off parks and restaurants to just hang out at the hotel to relax and to recharge our batteries.

Re: Do you Plan or Take Each Day as it Comes?
I'm a planner. I know where we are going every day of our trip.
Saying this, if the weather stops us from say, watching a parade or stops fireworks then we will swap some things around.

Re: Do you Plan or Take Each Day as it Comes?
Hhmm, interesting, I guess as we all have been more than once we tend to plan less and less and just enjoy being there

When we talk about the times we used to plan every single detail we laugh about it. There is no way I could go back to that now.

Re: Do you Plan or Take Each Day as it Comes?
I was always amazed when visiting this forum and previous ones that you dear members used to frequent, that itineraris were so complete and I felt sort of like a failure not being of that mindset. I just can't get that organized. We have a plan on where we are going for the day and a rough idea of the things on our must see or do list but that is pretty much it.
I want to live in the moment. If that means we don't have to run ragged so be it.... more the reason to come back again to hit that thing we missed last trip.
