Universal Studios Orlando Raises Ticket Prices for the Second Time!

Universal was the first of the Orlando theme parks to raise its ticket prices in the past few weeks. This was an unusual step for Universal as in past years they have normally waited for Disney to raise their prices first and Universal and SeaWorld would then follow suit.

This time, Universal made the first move and it appears that they were unhappy with the results that followed.

This week, Universal Orlando again raised its ticket prices by adding an extra $1 to the price of a one day, one park ticket to match the $89 base price at Walt Disney World.

The park has said that tickets sold online will continue to be sold at the base price of $88.

Prior to this year’s ticket price increase, both parks were charging $85 per ticket, and although $1 may sound trivial, the extra money could amount to millions of dollars in revenue for Universal
