Need some reviews of Tony's Town Square Restaurant
We have made out dinning reservations for our October trip and we have selected Tony's as one of those. We have never eaten here for lunch. Growing up this was one of our spots for breakfast when we didn't eat at The Coral Isle at the Polynesian. So it has been almost 20 years since I have even set foot in this restaurant.
Has anyone eaten here recently and how was the food/atmosphere/servers etc?
Thanks!

Re: Need some reviews of Tony's Town Square Restaurant
We used to eat dinner there on almost all our trips. Also used to eat breakfast there before they quit that. But the last time we were there (for MNSSHP dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Slowhand), the dinner was so-so at best. The table was crowded, the service and food were medicore.
Made me kind of ashamed to have recommended the place.
That was back in 2009 so it may have improved since then. I haven't been back to find out.

Re: Need some reviews of Tony's Town Square Restaurant
You know? We'd never dined here either until the first Saturday in June (this June).

We were pleasantly surprised! Our server was Alfie and he was fabulous. Very good with recommendations, and quick to check with us.
We had "tastes of Italy" and a flat bread, and a calzone. We shared the three. All were very nice. The anti pasti (tastes of Italy) was quite nice with gorgonzola, olives, two varieties of meat, ect. The calzone was nicely seasoned and hot. The dough was pleasant with a good "chew" not hard and crunchy. The flat bread was a bit of overkill carb wise, but yummy none the less.
Unfortunately we didn't save room for dessert but if we had, we'd have tried the spumoni.
So! Go and look forward to a nice lunch!

IMHO, the thing most missing from this restaurant is a nice glass of Chianti or some other Italian wine to accompany my meal. I've always enjoyed my meals here.

Re: Need some reviews of Tony's Town Square Restaurant
Personally, I'm really glad to be hearing that people have had good meals here lately. My DW and I used to enjoy having a late dinner here and getting a table on the outside porch. Then, if we timed it right, just sit there and watch the parade.
I was afraid that we might not be able to do that again. But hearing that things have evidently improved, it gives me confidence to try it again on our next trip. Whenever that is.

Re: Need some reviews of Tony's Town Square Restaurant
I completely agree with this. The no alcohol thing is getting very tired.
Anyway, we ate there last year because it was the only place available and we didnt expect much. HOWEVER, the meal was very nice indeed! better than at the castle. I was very surprised but yep, I'd go there again

We haven't eaten there but are thinking about it for the night we got to MNSSHP.
We have the menus on our main site here are the links to the Lunch Menu and the Dinner Menu
