Lightning McQueen & Friends at the ‘Cars’ Wing at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
The new “Cars” courtyard at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort officially opens to guests today.
You go straight through the resort’s main lobby, make a right-hand turn and hop on Route 66 – a winding path that draws you into Ornament Valley and to the small town of Radiator Springs. This winding “road” gives you plenty of opportunities to pause and admire the beautiful desert landscape.
The courtyard is also sprinkled with tourist stops that are taken straight out of the film, including Tow Mater’s Tow & Salvage, the Wheel Well Motel, and Sally’s Cozy Cone Motel.
The “Cars” courtyard is also populated with the residents of Radiator Springs, with Lightning McQueen, Mater, Sally, Ramone (above), Doc Hudson, Luigi, Guido and Fillmore waiting to greet you.
