That is a possibility Tink, however as we will have a couple of hours to kill at JFK before our friends arrive from LA, then it makes sense for us to pass some of the time by tecking over to meet them.

Ah well, at least everything's geared up for people with luggage which is half the battle
AND at least you have someone else driving you out the airport, I was stuck with a colleague for an hour trying to get out the darned place once

I had enough headaches driving myself out of the centre of Chicago a while back!
