Re: Happy 4th July!!
3:00 ish the rain and thunder started again. Just in time for the cookouts and picnics.

I'm pretty happy that we didn't have any special plans today!Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

We had a big party yesterday to celebrate MIL's Birthday. Just lazing around today. Raining here in N. Florida. Still feeling and seeing effects of Debby so definitely don't need this.

Re: Happy 4th July!!
The rain continued into the evening so that interfered with many fireworks displays. We didn't try to attend any as we both have to work today.

Re: Happy 4th July!!
There were some major thunder last night and of course, I instantly starting praying that my electric didn't go off......again. I normally love thunderstorms, but I've never feared my electric would go off for more than an evening.
It was a quiet day for me. I loved having a day off in the middle of the week. Kinda refreshing.
Happy 4th!

Re: Happy 4th July!!
Same here! I know many people prefer the day off to be moved to Monday, regardless of date, but it was nice to have a midweek break.
I did keep thinking it was Saturday though! LOL.Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

I kept thinking it was Saturday as well! We had a lovely day with friends and lots of babies! Grilled sossidges and burgers and had yummy cupcakes!
The rain started falling just as the first firework went off, but we stuck it out! I will say, I may have done my children a disservice with all their trips to Disney, "other" fireworks just pale in comparison!

Re: Happy 4th July!!
Awfully nice sentiment Sue! Had a quiet day all to myself. DW was in Colarado to visit her sister, DD was at Lake Gaston with her friends. It was just me and my pooch Cody. It was very low key.
Remember a riddle from my youth that went something like this:
Do the British have a Fourth of July?
Of course your brain tries to reason out the whole revolution things...then
duh...
Yeah it follows the third and preceeds the fifith.
