HDDR / Spirit of Aloha / Backyard BBQ?

I've read most of the previous threads and I'm wondering - with all the changes I've read about, does the edge from the majority still go to HDDR as the better dinner show? Not terribly concerned with quality of food - we're talking about teenagers here just entertainment value.

hmmmmm so subjective but I believe the majority would put HDDR as the best Disney dinner show yeah it's still the most planned, together show. Better food, better planning with the way the food is brought out around the show etc.

The luau has gotten better in recent incarnations. It's still mainly a demonstration of the different types of island dancing with a great firedancer at the end.

The HDDR has gone a little worse. food a little less good, wine cheaper, show a little diluted, songs not as good, cast not as good and so on but then even with all that I think it has the edge.

I think the BBQ is for little ones, I didnt ser many teenagers dancing the night away with Mickey

We enjoyed the luau and the luau food when we went, but it didnt feel Disney enough for us, if that makes sense

I would love to try the Luau. And who wouldn't enjoy a fire dancer.

HDDR is slightly ahead of the luau IMO but for teenagers HDDR by far over the other options. Try for the last seating, less little ones and the crowds just seem to be more lively which always makes for a better show.

Maybe in the total minority, but he Skips haven't loved HDDR. We were told that it was a "must do" by so many that perhaps we had really raised the bar to where it couldn't live up to the hype. Haven't seen the others though so sorry not a lot of help Becca.
