I wear a hat as although it does make your head fell a little warmer you are less likely to get sunstroke and I think it does even out and I feel cooler in the long run.

True hats just don't suit me at all and I can't take it off because my hair is normally stuck to my head

I always WANTED to wear a baseball hat (you know, with a cute little ponytail pulled through the back?), but the fact is, I look utterly RIDICULOUS in baseball hats...I usually just pile it all into a ponytail and try not to look into any mirrors as I pass by ;-)

Haha I have that baseball hat/dream myself. My head is too big for a hat and I don't think my hair would fit through the back

Thank you Diane I'll have a look at that. I never even realised they did such things.

I only sat in the garden for a little while yesterday afternoon and I got really burnt I have never ever burnt like this before, it really hurts to brush my hair.

I don't normally have to worry with sun protection if I sit in the garden for an hour or so over here but my even my face got burnt quite badly

I actually have a collection of hats. I love hats. They don't love me.

I do have one that I bought at WDW ages ago. It has a fedora like crown, with a wide, wide brim. It's of tightly woven straw and very comfortable; doesn't make your head hot. I wear it when I remember.

I have some bucket style hats that I like the best. They are easy to wear and fold up for in my pocket storage. One is actually made of very tightly woven paper! I use that for "swimming" or walking along the water's edge. If it gets wet, it's ok. (Weirdest hat)!

I have the elaborate purple "pirate hat."

We have the market cornered on baseball caps but they look horrible on me for the most part. I nearly never wear them, but Herself looks wonderful in them (or any other hat).

For me it's all about the sunglasses. If I'm doing a hat, the sunglasses have to be the fixture that make it work.

I've heard/read about the sunscreen for hair/heads and do want to try it myself. My hair is very fine and thin and I've burnt my scalp enough to understand that discomfort when you try to comb your hair!
