Re: Live from New York with Isafari with updates
Yesterday (wednesday) we started off at the Empire State Building just a block away from our hotel. The express passes saved us hours - up and down in no time bypassing any queues for the lifts.
We stayed about 90 minutes and I preferred the views from the 86th floor (or was it 84th) rather than all the way to the 102nd as the lower floor had no windows.
We then jumped on subway to the American Museum of Natural History. Stayed for about 6 hours but didn't get to see it all.
Back to hotel for shower then we went to see the new Cirque du Soleil show Zarkana. Managed very front row seats for this too. It was as expected - amazing.
Today we caught the subway to Bronx Zoo. Very impressed and got some fab photos. Got there for opening and stayed until closing.
Subway back to times square where we took a night tour over to Brooklyn. Tour just finished when the rain started so we got subway back to hotel and bought take away for dinner which we have just finished.

Re: Live from New York with Isafari with updates
Last full day in New York today. We first went to Chinatown but didn't stay long. Then to have a look at Central Station. We had a mid afternoon meal at an Irish pub which was not worth $92!
We then walked to Times Square again followed by a wander around the shops and a look at the library. A week in New York and I haven't spent a single cent apart from food and drink. Nothing at all has taken my fancy not evens trinket.
Hotel to shower and change then we went to watch Phantom of the Opera. Once again we were very front row centre. I knew well in advance which shows I wanted to see, before they went on sale so every lunchtime at work i would check the availability until they became available and it was worth it - three shows, all front row.
