Magical Moments at WDW

Have you ever had a magical moment or pixie dust experience at any of the parks.

We've never been lucky enough for it to happen to us.

We have. From the slightest dusting (a free cookie on Andrew's birthday) to a downright blizzard (being selected to be Grand Marshals of the MK Parade on St. Patrick's Day). For us, we find pixiedust in the slightest of things...a short line on our favorite ride, good seats for a show, a nice conversation with a cast member...it's all around you

I was once given a LARGE order of chips from a chips stand in DHS. Seriously. They were fresh and hot from the fryer. I devoured them.

We were given a ride by a CM with a golf cart while trudging up the hill from EPCOT to the Beach Club.

We had Mickey come up behind us one EMH morning. It was like a commercial! We were all alone with him.

Ummmm...oh, the former barkeep at OKW used to give us our first drink free when we checked in. We got to know him very well, but he's gone now.

OH! We were upgraded to Concierge when we stayed at the Poly for one of Herself's birthday celebrations.

Nothing to compare to our own Slowhand, but nice little treats all the same!

We've had all sorts of magical moments. The Hat Lady singing to us and then taking us to a special Illuminations viewing spot. Being given Mickey rice krispie treat because I was wearing my birthday button. All sorts of wonderful conversations with CM's who love their jobs. There is always a magic moment

Umm...free photo at Animal Kingdom, being taken to the roof of the tank in the Living Seas, Steven talking to Crush at the turtle talk, talking to someone from my home town, and hundreds of others.

We make a lot of our own magic.

Most of our Disney moments are magical

We did, however, have one very special one! It was our 5th anniversary and Dh and I had gone to dinner and taken the carriage ride at the POR. We were going to take the bus back to the MK and then head back home to the AS. The bus driver asked if we knew the MK was just about closing and there would be a million people there, and we said yes, but we needed to get back and that was the only way. He got off the bus for a moment to use the phone and when he came back he said his shift was almost over and his boss said it would be ok to take us directly back to the AS resort! We were the only people on the bus and he chatted with the the whole way back. Turns out he lived near us here in Upstate NY for quite awhile when he was younger. He saved us hours getting back that night..we consider it part of our anniversary gift

Ooooh, Shelly! Thanks for the memory jog. We once had a woman bus driver do the same for us when we were staying at OKW. She radioed in that she was taking us directly there, and we were the only ones on the bus too! That was SERIOUSLY a good and great favor that night. Like yourselves, it saved us hours of transfers, waiting and more bus riding.
