Our Olympics, part 2

Friday 10th August and another earlyish train into London. It was again a busy train but Steven found a seat in the luggage rack.



We had tickets for an afternoon event so decided to spend a couple of hours at Hyde Park at the BT live site. We joined the crowds walking to the entrance.



Even Steven had to be scanned. I got told off for taking this photo.



We checked out everything there and had an ice cream.



Then Steven tried his hand at Swingball.



Soon it was time to hop on the Underground and then we were allowed to walk in the road.



We're heading to Earls Court.

The excitement got too much for Team GB







More empty seats, this time in the expensive section. Grrrr!



After two hours it was over with Russia the worthy winners.




Then it was time to start the trek home. The handy thing about having lived in London and spent a lot of time there is that I knew we didn't need to queue with the other 15,000 people leaving the arena to try and get into Earls Court underground station. A short stroll away, via a 24 Tesco for cold drinks and we are in Kensington High Street (very posh). Soon we're back at Victoria and on our way home. Amazing day...again

I saw this game!! I like watching how "in synch" the court sweepers were!! Another great day it seems!
