Tropical Storm Isaac

Okay, only about 4 1/2 days out and the track of Isaac is not moving far enough west for my liking. Time to make a run to Wal-Mart and stock up on the essentials.

I'm down here now and will be in Caribbean beach starting Saturday. We were here a couple of years ago for a tropical storm and it kind of put a damper on our vacation. I am still hoping Isaac takes a detour away from Orlando or weakens to nothing more than rain by the time it reaches us.

That's why I'm going today on my lunch hour. I'm guessing the majority of people might wait until tonight or tomorrow. Don't need much.....just water and some additional canned goods. We've already got plenty of batteries, both vehicles are filled with gas and we have some cash on hand. The one thing that doesn't help is that we're in the middle of a small interior redecorating of the house so some stuff is not in it's proper place.

The further north Isaac is moving the further away it's getting from Florida but Orlando will definitely feel some affects if Isaac stays on this course. There will be another update in an hour and hopefully it continues to push to the west.

I went into Goodings at The Crossroads once after people had bought hurricane supplies. It was like a plague of locusts had stripped the place.

We've got PGT hurricane windows so we're good up to a Cat. 3 storm.
