I think that's partly why it feels SOOOOO bad. GF is so elegant and everyone is SO wonderful, to receive poor service is very jarring.

We were there last year and had the exception to the rule I guess. The food was great as well as the service, I believe we had surf and turf! I don't know if the menu will be different for a special event though.

I have to say that I went in 2010 and the service was impeccable. My friend went in June and said the same. I would be very disappointed if it went badly next year. I had not heard this before and read a good few forums. Such a pity really as the setting is gorgeous.

I find the place to be very much "hit or miss", but sadly I`ve experienced more "misses" than "hits" there.

On our last visit a few weeks ago, the server that we know very well was fully booked for our ADR time, so we were assigned another server who looked after us very well I must admit.
BUT [and this was the first time ever that it has happened at WDW with us], my DW`s entree was almost stone cold when it was delivered so we sent it back and, full marks to the chef, he prepared a new meal rather than just warming up the one that she had been given.

The following day we had dinner at the Blue Zoo which has a much more "up market and adult" feel to it, and there we had a far superior meal, with excellent service and at a much lower cost to boot.

Are you talking about the server Brian? Im sure that is the name of the guy who served us. He was excellent. He told us of his travels throughout the UK and in Edinburgh in particular.
