Dining reservations

My friend is almost due to be able to book her dining reservations and has a couple of questions.
When booking can you use a debit card or just a credit card?
Also can she only book 180 days in advance as they fall or can she book a block at a time even if they are more than 180 days.

both debit and credit are fine

You can book 180 days out without specifying any booking but if you login and register your onsite stay, if indeed you're staying onsite, then you get a larger window to book to a maximum of 190 days out (basically 180 days as normal but then you get 10 days or length of stay if shorter on top of that)

They have booked via a travel agent so is it easy to register their booking via the Disney website or is it just bookings made via Disney that you can do that on?

If they can get their Disney reservation code, it'll usually ask for that + surname on the booking and maybe telephone number on the booking and then it'll add the reservation to your account and allow the extra window for booking dining.

Most TAs are very good about giving this information but if they get nowhere, give Disney dining a call, play dumb/panicky and say "oh no! what do I do!!!" they'll normally ask for your full name and where you're staying, date of check in and they can find your reservation that way they'll then let you book the full window and if you're nice to them they'll give you the disney reservation number too.
