I used to carry two phones, one for work and one for my private use. It really wasn't so bad.

I honestly don't understand why you need two personal phones though? I'm not exactly "up" on phone technology though, so that's no surprise.

Pardon my ignorance, but how does a deaf person use a cell phone? Is there some sort of interpreter built in so that when someone speaks it is translated to either sign language or words on the screen?

A good question. We use it for text, emails and FaceTime. We also use mobile to access Internet etc.

Hi I use FaceTime regular with my Deaf parents and friends. I like to be able to customise the phone also!

Granted there are third party apps but the quality is nowhere near FaceTime quality tbh.

So I'm wondering if I could have the best of both world by having iPhone 4S and S3.

Or to sell both and get iPhone 5 as the screen size is quite good. If I have a choice to keep one phone it would be iPhone (FaceTime)

Ah I see. I would personally sell both phones and get the iPhone 5. If it doesn't work out then at least you know. There is always going to be a new phone out and I would imagine it won't be long before the androids have something along the lines of facetime.

Chris said what about Skype or google voice and there is another one called foyo not sure if that's how you spell it he's not tried the last one though.

I think the problem is, once you've tried some of the apple stuff like imessage/facetime, it's *SOOOOOO* good that other solutions just don't feel nearly as nice and of course you have to go to all your apple friends and say I cant use facetime any more, can you install and use skype instead (which they may do but wont really want to).

I agree also I was out with Stephen doing some sofa shopping and my parents called me via FaceTime which was so nice. As it used to be tied to WIFI only but now wherever. It is quite liberating!
