      Re: When?

      Hello and Welcome to Disney Secrets!

      Deciding when to go depends upon many factors. The Christmas season is one of the most expensive times of the year to visit, from hotel rooms, to meals (Disney increases their meal prices for certain holiday seasons) and travel. Also, will your children be ok with being in WDW for Christmas instead of home? (Do you mean you have a 5 year old, or a 5 month old? If both of your children are under two then being at WDW for Christmas probably won't be as big a factor).

      If you go in November, but not at Thanksgiving it will be less expensive and have less attendance. Christmas week itself is one of the most heavily attended weeks at WDW.

      Halloween time can be less expensive and has become quite a festive time to visit the greater Orlando area too!

      So, decide on how much you wish to spend (what is your overall travel budget) and how long you wish to stay based on that budget and go from there!

      Re: When?

      If you go between Thanksgiving and Christmas things are cheaper than if you are there for the actual holiday itself. Early December is a great time to go and you still get all the benefits of the Holiday season activities at Disney.

      WDW = 39 visits since 1979
      DCL = 3 cruises since 2002

      Been there, done that, going back
      2012 = Marriott Lakeshore Reserve - Food & Wine Festival (Oct)

      Re: When?

      I'd also go with Nov/Dec then you get the Christmas themeing and as your children are small, this would be so lovely for them to see
