After an extended run on the U.S. West Coast, and with the European economy still weak, the Walt Disney Co. has decided to move all four of its cruise ships to Florida during the first half of 2014.

Disney Cruise Line said last week it will bring its original cruise ship, the Disney Magic, back to Port Canaveral beginning in January 2014. The 2,700-passenger ship has sailed out of New York and Galveston, Texas, this year and will spend some of next year in Europe.

The Magic will join Disney's newest ships, the 4,000-passenger Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, in Brevard County. The Dream and Magic will offer three- and four-night sailings, while the Fantasy will take seven-night voyages.

Disney also said it will keep its other older ship, the 2,700-passenger Disney Wonder, based in Miami through at least the first five months of 2014, where it will sail three-, four- and five-night voyages. The Wonder has spent extended stretches in recent years sailing out of Los Angeles.
