Just s short report to share this possible sad news, we may have to cancel the cruise our usual dog sitters (three of them) are not available. We managed to find another dog board and had a trial run at the weekend. Our dog (COlin) was not happy at all. He became depressed and wasn't eating much. Didn't want to go for walk either.
It became clear that he need specialist dog boarding with one to one attention and as Colin is deaf, he doesn't like the pack culture and he became very unsettled.
We need to pay the full balance next week and we don't want to put Colin through another trial and error again.
We prefer (not really but) to lose deposit as opposed to the full holiday costs. However the travel agent now wanting extra £179 to cancel the holiday. there is nothing in the contract so our solicitor friend will go through the contract and see if there is anything in the contractual law to argue that we are prepared to loose our deposit without having to fork out additional £179.
We have provisionally booked the usual dog sitter for Sept 23rd as we are now thinking of going to Florida
We are likely to stay at All Star Movies as this holiday is unexpected so we would have to do it on the budget.
Will let you all know how we get on today.
