      A question for our US friends

      Having just sorted out the flights for our next trip to Florida, the next part of the plan is to sort out the rental car for our visit.
      I always try for a Dodge Charger as I like the look of this car very much. However my usual rental company no longer lists the Charger, but does offer a Dodge Avenger which looks very similar.

      Has the Charger ceased to be in production and hence replaced by the Avenger?

      The Avenger is considered a mid-size. It is smaller than the Charger. Trust me Dodge has sunk too much money into the Charger to discontinue production.

      It's such a shame, I really looked forward to the charger when we went to the states. There were LOADS of them the first few times, then they dried up and it was chevy impala which was "ok" but nothing special. Last time we went, all Dollar had were lines of Nissan Altimas which were pretty soulless cars although MPG seemed good :/
