Re: RESTURANTS OUTWITH DISNEY
Oh there are many Robert!
Big Fin is the one we've tried most recently and had a wonderful dinner there. It's in the Dr. Phillip's area, just a few miles from DTD.
Joe's Crab Shack is the other end of the spectrum, but fun, fun, fun, and the steamer pots are great!
You've heard me go on and on and on about Yellow Dog Eats. Get a good map. It's not far, but it's tricky to find the first time.
The Ravenous Pig is on our list of must trys. We've not been there yet, but it's getting crazy rave reviews. It's in Winter Park.
Olive Garden is decent enough for lunch, as is Red Lobster. Nothing fancy at all, but good basic food for a decent price. Stay away from the Olive Garden on west 192. Choose the one on I Drive (nearer to the Sea World end) instead.
Long Horn has decent meals for the most part. We like it far better than Outback Steakhouse. Again, simple basic fare that is consistently done well.
If you want pricey and very good go with Ruth's Chris Steak House. We really enjoyed our meal there.
Melting Pot in the same strip at Ruth's Chris is usually decent but has been iffy lately so beware.
What sort of food is your favorite? I'll try to give you some recommendations for restaurants where you can find it, provided I know, of course!

Another vote for Joe's Crab Shack steam pots.

Manny's Chop House somewhere in the US 27 area (vague I know) is good too.
We like Perkins for breakfast, and sometimes a quick dinner ( they have vegetables ) but we always steer clear of the breakfast buffets full of British tourists.

Re: RESTURANTS OUTWITH DISNEY
We stay for 7 out of the 17 days of our holiday outside Disney. As we dont venture far beyond I Drive due to not having a car, we have a few favourites over the years. The one that stands out for us is Kobe (teppanyaki). It is so much better IMO than the Japanese restaurant in Epcot and a must for us each time. We also like Bahama Breeze and Sweet Tomatoes is very good value.

Re: RESTURANTS OUTWITH DISNEY
Yes, I've read about that one too.
Winter Park isn't very convenient for us, and even when we want to go out for dinner and try something new, it's just very inconvenient to go to that area.
We'll get there one day though. Heard too much good about the place to not make the effort.Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!
