Another Be Our Guest Question

I'm trying to decide when to go in September. I'm not sure whether to go on an evening when Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party is on or to go another night.

Looking at the calendar for September, it looks like MNSSHP will start on the 10th September (far too early) and then be the 13th, 17th, 20th, 24th and 27th. We could go to any one other than the 27th.

What do you think, try and get a reservation for 6pm on a Party night or go on a non Party night?

Its going to be packed either way.. only thing is trying to make sure you have enough time there without missing any party specials

We have an ADR booked for when we go out in June and I`m trying to find out all about this new dining experience for dinner.

ermmmmm they're very busy and they know it.

I wouldn't say we were RUSHED but it was being efficiently run if you know what I mean?

Every course was cleared away pretty instantly when finished and no one hung around. On the other hand, we'd ordered a bottle of wine and took our time finishing it without feeling bullied to leave.

Ok, so humour me, what happens when you get there, I know you check in at the kiosk on the bridge, but after at I'm not sure. Can you request which side of the restaurant you want to sit and is one side nicer than the other?

yep you checkin at the kiosk and normally asked to wait with a pager. They stop anyone without a reservation going across the bridge and theyre very diligent about it too! You can indeed ask for which side you want to sit and each has its own charms! The main dining room has a wonderful view out of the "windows" but is indeed rather large and noisy but in an ok way. It's like having a banquette in a large hall so it's quite in keeping. The west wing is an altogether different experience. It's VERY tiny, I didnt realise how few tables were in there until we got in. It's dark and quieter. There is frequent lightning and thunder during which the pictures change and the rose grows and so on. I was a bit disappointed not to have the main room when we walked through it until I saw the west wing which is the star of the place IMHO.

Every so often an announcement is made that the Beast will be coming to visit his guests, he only stays for a brief moment but you're told that he'll be entertaining visitors in his study so you can get photos on the way out in that room.

When we walked through the West Wing after dinner it appeared to be occupied by larger groups however. I honestly don't remember seeing just couples seated there.

truthfully both areas would be fine

It's not like the west wing is so quiet that kids would be unwelcome! More people get up and down and wander round in the west wing though, adults and kids. They go and take photos of the pictures, of the rose and so on. So it's quite active in that sense whereas the main hall is a load of tables and nothing really to go and visit if that makes sense?

So I don't see any reason why you can't choose whichever one you fancy the sound of
