Well, I've never been to Ruth Chris' but I've heard good things. Longhorn has good steaks and isn't expensive, you go on the I4 and come off at the next junction for the 429, it takes us about 30 minutes.

Ruby Tuesday is our go to place at the florida mall. Used to be better when they did 2 for 1 on wine/beer etc but ok

normally I'd have a burger or chicken or something and save steak for a proper steakhouse. tbh though I could probably do with finding somewhere better at the florida mall

Ruth's Chris is great. I DID prefer Charleys but it's been going downhill.

ok well I think I'll give that longhorn another try and see if it was a one off bad experience

RT does have good burgers. I get a free one for my birthday

California Pizza Kitchen is at the Florida Mall. They have some tasty gourmet pizzas and really good salads too

We rarely visit any Longhorns, mostly because there isn't one convenient to where we live. When I travel on business though I have had a chance to eat at one. Like Keith I normally find the meal only acceptable but nothing fantastic.

Now Morton's, Flemings, Ruth's Chris they are right at the top of the chain and you can expect to pay considerably more than places like Longhorn, Outback, Texas Roadhouse, etc. These three are all ala carte. You order a steak, you get a steak. If you want anything else you have to order it. Outback has THE BEST House Salad.

I like some items at Applebee's, but the one near us has no idea how to cook a steak. Mine always comes out overdone, I'll send it back and the replacement comes out overdone, so I give up.

Keith, I think I have mentioned it before but you must try The Hickory Steakhouse at Gaylord`s.
Great service, and I`ve had a fabulous dinner there on several occasions....they even do some great non-meat dishes also for the non meat eaters like my DW.
