Ib am stayimg at the hilton at downdisney this year any non disney resturants you can recommend
I'm not much help here but we have eaten at Buffalo Wild Wings and Olive Garden just outside of DTD. Both are ok for what they are. Decent wings and bar food at BWW and decent Italian food at Olive Garden. I'm sure there are others who will be able to help with suggestions.

Is there any particular type of restaurant you are interested in?
I like going to Sweet Tomatoes. It has a nice salad bar with 5-6 soups, pastas, breads and desserts. After a few days of theme park foods, I am craving salads.
We like Bahama Breeze as we don't have one locally. I always get the citrus grilled chicken. Always. It is very good.
Joe's Crab Shack is good and lots of fun. We usually go there too as we don't have one locally.
The Cheesecake Factory is one of my favorite chains. They have a HUGE menu though I usually pick from the same 4-5 things: shrimp and bacon club sandwich, pasta davinci, far falle with chicken and garlic, pad Thai. The portions are also very huge!!! The cheesecakes are ok. I don't go for the cheesecake lol
Flipper's is my favourite pizza place, but they vary hugely from one branch to another.
I was seriously unimpressed with the South I-drive location and the Old Town location. The Universal branch and the W192 branch are outstanding.
