any nice restaurants at hotels near disney?

Are there any nice places to dine at the restaurants by downtown disney? how about gaylord palms which isnt too far I dont think?

Gaylord Palms is quite close, but I've never been too thrilled with their food. One time when we dined there it was nice, then when we returned it wasn't so great.

They do change chefs from time to time though, so that could bring better food.

Ive been wondering about trying there.. theyre supposed to have quite an upscale or at least a medium upscale restaurant?

Yes, they have a couple of choices, three I think? Wasn't impressed with the two we tried, and the third didn't have anything on the menu that looked too terrific.

However, that was awhile ago, so don't let my review stop you from trying it. Different experiences lead to different impressions, eh?

thanks what about the hotels near downtown disney on that strip that leads down to the shops? anything decent down there?

You know? I don't know! I've never eaten in any of those hotels, so can't really comment.

I know some of the hotels on I-drive have very nice restaurants, the Rosen hotels and the Peabody come immediately to mind.
