Pal Mickey
Some of you know I collect Mickey plush (especially SW) I always go to WDW each year with the intention of buying him....and have never done so yet!
Last year I was put off by the outfit he was wearing when I saw him
Do you have a Pal Mickey?
What are the pros and cons to having him with you all day?

Re: Pal Mickey
Back when Pal Mickey was new, DVC members were given the opportunity to "rent" one for a day. I did. Cured me of wanting one.
At that time Pal Mickey could not get wet (don't know if that's still true) so keeping it dry in the summer, in the parks was a challenge. It defeated the purpose of the whole thing to have to wrap it in a plastic bag and tuck it out of the rain.
Plus, I couldn't hear it well in many of the noisier settings. The one I rented was off sych too. It told me about the three o' clock parade when I was in the room at WL!
So, I wasn't impressed enough to buy.
However, if I had a small child, I'd consider it for the entertainment value while standing on line, alone. I'll bet that parents end up with carrying the toys far more than the children do!
If I collected plush Mickeys, I'd probably want one to make the collection complete, but that would be about it.
Now, if they had a Pal Tinkerbell...

Re: Pal Mickey
Wouldn't that be great! I wonder when Disney will take your wise counsel?

Re: Pal Mickey
We have a Pal Mickey and he has the Safari and Pirate outfits

Don't think we will take him next year though as my 2 are a bit old for him now.

Re: Pal Mickey
They won't carry him around the parks when all they want to do is run from one ride to the next

I'll end up carrying him along with all the other things they 'need' to take!!!

Re: Pal Mickey
I wanted to buy a Pal Mickey for Lexie last December, but her mother said "abosolutely not!"
It's an ongoing battle--Lexie loves stuffed animals--or plush, as many call them--and her parents detest the things! She isn't allowed to have another one unless she gets rid of one first.
