buying songs from itunes?

does anyone do this? I have an ipod touch and it looks easy but then can I use the songs in the car? can I back the songs up? whats to say I wont lose them, can I download them for free if I do?

not done it but have an ipod - pretty sure you buy the songs and they load up onto your pc into yuor itunes - your ipod then syncs with itunes each time you plug it in - even if you lost your ipod or it exploded then you would still have the songs uploaded to your itunes on your laptop

I have a shuffle and I have purchased Itunes to fill it. I sort of use it to fill in my library of songs. Things that I wouldn't want to buy the whole CD for. So my shuffle is sort of pshychotic in nature. Lots of lost 45's (old singles to the young folks)

You shouldn't loose anything you download unless you delete it yourself. I've downloaded a bunch of free stuff (The Chipmunks video which the girls think is totally cool) and it's all still saved in my Itunes.

I have 4178 items in my itunes most of them bought from there! 18.28GB's! I need to sort it out.

if you buy it on your ipod (using the itunes wifi store) then it'll be always on your ipod and you can back it up to a CD/DVD, personally, I much prefer to download it to my computer and transfer it to my ipod!

There is talk on the BBC website that the iTunes store may be closed down due to the probable increase in digital royalty rates
