One bourbon, one scotch, one beer....
...or in MY case...three suitcases, two backpacks, and enough cords and cables to hogtie a goat with...
Two more sleeps.
We took our "Disney Fund" (translated: change jar) to the bank today....$125 extra to spend at Disney...well done us!
I'm enjoying the last two days...enjoying the utter exhaustion that inevitably leads up to the "night before." Enjoying the anticipation...the eagerness...the little thrill that fills my soul each time I mark something off my "to do" list.
I was reminiscing tonight...hard to believe it's been over a decade since we took our first trip to Disney World...Andrew was just a bit over five years old...Baleigh was only about nine months...I could fit an entire outfit for each child in a ziploc bag...now they each have to have their own suitcase...our first trip was a four day "long weekend" booked through a travel agent staying at the Comfort Inn...this year we'll stay for 10 days onsite booked by friends, for friends...
Andrew will turn 16. I still haven't wrapped my mind around that...Alysia will *graduate* this year...wasn't she just 12 last month?
It will be a special trip, I can sense it...

Re: One bourbon, one scotch, one beer....
Well then, come right on into the waiting room and have a seat...my CONTACTS that were supposed to arrive YESTERDAY have yet to make an appearance...meh.
I'm at work. I'm utterly useless. I'm trying to focus, but it just ISN'T happening.
I've planned an entire lesson around Disney World today

Re: One bourbon, one scotch, one beer....
Update...
Teacher (me): "Oh really? You had breakfast with Jack Sparrow?!?!! Wow. I wonder what he has for breakfast?"
Student One (first year student, six years old): Rum. My dad likes it for breakfast too.
And then,
Teacher (me): "No, I don't know why they won't let you sleep in the castle."
Student Two (also six): "My dad says it's because he's not made of money. But shouldn't they know that?"

Re: One bourbon, one scotch, one beer....
Oh my gosh, that is hysterical!

The lead up to the holiday is part of the enjoyment, isn't it?
The weather is nearly perfect. It's sunny, gentle breeze and low humidity. You'll not need a jacket or trousers, just flowing cotton clothing.
The parks are not too terribly crowded, and the Food and Wine Festival starts Friday.
It really doesn't get much better than this.Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!
If you haven't joined yet, do register. It's a great place to make friends and share all those Disney secrets!!
