Is the gaylord palms hotel good?

Its expensive but there are discounts on it which make it look good value. Does anyone know what the restaurants are like and if it has transport to and from the parks?

i haven't stayed in the one in Orlando but stayed in the one in Nashville and tbh i wasn't impressed, it was expensive to stay for a mediocre room that was miles from anywhere. It was like a mile from the car park and they charged you to park too. I also found the restaurants expensive.

It's really more convention/business oriented than tourism oriented. Sometimes you can get a good rate on the weekend, or around holidays when there are no conventions.

I haven't stayed there--when I visit WDW it's total immersion--even if I stay at the value resorts!

Check tripadvisor.com for reviews, keeping in mind that more people complain that praise on these boards.
