Disney Again day 1

Thursday Sept 11th

Time ticked round to 10.30am and time to do the on-line check in with Virgin Atlantic – dead easy but doesn’t seem real despite printing out the boarding cards.
Hair-do for Liz and hair cut for me before the taxi arrives at 1.45.
With all the luggage stowed we set off to collect the others in the party.
All aboard now so it is the Raddison Hotel at Manchester airport next stop.
We had booked the celebration package so when we got to our room there was complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.



Up on the eighth floor the view over the airport was stunning. (Even number rooms look out over the airport, odd numbers don’t)





We could even see Jodrell Bank from the window.



We were booked in for a three course meal in the package. Cant remember what the dishes were but this is what our meals looked like. Delicious.
















The background music was provided by a pianist.



After the meal we went for a stroll around the terminal before bed.

What a wonderful beginning to your holiday!

We usually arrive at the hotel late in the evening and have to take the first morning shuttle (6:00 a.m.) to the airport. The saving grace is an extra two hours of sleep!
