Highs and Lows of Mexico.
This will be a taster until I get my films developed and a helping hand from Dawnie to get them on here for a more detailed trip report.
Highs:
Weather was gorgeous
Hotel was gorgeous
Food and swimming pools all gorgeous
Loved it and want to go back again.
Glad we went for 3 weeks because the time just flew by.
A little summer romance ensued for DD. His name is Ernesto and he was just so cute.
Beach gorgeous
Mexican people were just so lovely and humble and sweet
Got sloshed one day at the pool bar by 10am... Lord
only knows what was in those drinks!
Lows:
Had to come home
Saw a McDonalds in Cancun as soon as we landed WTH?????
Some Taxi drivers thought they had airplanes and I swear they tried to take off!
When it rains it's a real doozie
The Hotel grounds became very slippy when wet, I went down once and DD went down twice and I saw three people with broken legs by the time we left.
Frippin mozzies everywhere... I got eaten alive.. last count I had 36 bites
Because of the humidity mould grows on everything or it smells mouldy
Put on some weight.

Well, that is a teaser for sure! I'm really sorry you fell!
Don't worry about the weight, it was probably those fancy drinks. You'll take it off now that you are home.

Re: Highs and Lows of Mexico.
Given my history of injuries since I got older those falls would be a major turnoff for that particular resort for me. But glad you had a great time elsewise.

I totally blame the Crocs for the falling over... they be darned slippy when it's wet. I did slowly slide off the pool bar stool though....
