Travellers cheques

I've always used cash before but tcs do sounds like a better idea. What do you do about value of them? say I get 2000 dollars, would it be best just to get huge values so I have fewer and just change them somewhere? or smaller ones to spend like money?

Can they be changed at disney resorts?

first off i think you are doing the right thing in getting tc's, we had nearly 2000$$$ stolen from the villa last trip mainly tc's but got them replaced at the amex bank on sand lake road the next day, so defo the way to go imo

we normally get a mixture of denominations this time they are al 50's as i ordered them online and thats all they do

you dont have to change them up anywhere, just spend them like cash in the shops and you get change in cash, its as simple as that

Most hotels will let you change them at the front desk, we usually change a smallish amount daily.

not sure if there ar visa ones, but make sure they are american express ones and you will be fine

I know not everything (in the uk at least) takes amex cards, is it different for TCs?

I have NEVER had an AMEX TC turned down. And yes there are VISA Travelers Checks but AMEX is much more trusted.

They do have Visa and AMEX traveller's cheques. I haven't had any problems using either kind in Orlando. Using them when I got home was another story

Shops will ask for your picture ID to verify the tc belong to you.

I know when I used the Visa ones at Universal they automatically gave me the AAA discount. AAA offers the Visa tc now.
