My Right Foot Trip Report....Days 3, 4 & 5

This holiday was about the three of us chilling..... Me because of an operation I'd not long had, and was getting over being cut open twice in one month because they couldn't do it the first time, DH because he'd had an accident at work and is using a stick to get about because he has hurt his back badly, and DD because... er.. um.. because we said so ok... lol... and My Right Foot because the young hussy needs a rest.

Day 3; After rolling out of breakfast again we grabbed a parasol.... this Hotel is not even a year old yet so there were not many parasols about so you grabbed one when you could... luckily this improved as they purchased more while we were there. The Hotel has had teething troubles but trust me, they do absolutely everything to iron out anything that needs it, they bend over backwards to help you, find anything, do anything for you.
We bought some lilo's from the gift shop and floated around the pool. We chose the swim up bar pool today... DD had a virgin pina colada and virgin tequila sunrise and virgin Miami vice, mine were the none virgin type! :: I could get used to this! Whaaaaayhaaaaaaaaay!
Lunch was again gorgeous if only I could remember what it was lol... I know I had duck for dinner and it was the most gorgeous duck I've ever had in my life. The waiters here helped DH carry his plates of food to the table when he needed help, the Mexican people were just so lovely... I will come back to Mexico in a heart beat. I have never met such lovely people before, they are warm, sincere and very humble. Yes you get the odd one but for about 99% of the time they are fantastic.
The very stressful days are taking their toll on us... we're in bed for about 9pm... lol... What can you do?!

Day 4; Again we went to the swim up bar and today we had Gerardo the bartender... he was very funny and delighted in giving me as many different cocktails to try as he could and as I could manage without slipping off the bar stool back into the pool... I had a banana mama, banana daquiri, strawberry daquiri, long island iced tea, almond liquer, cherry liquer, coffee liquer and mexcal the local cactus tequila.... by 10am I was as sloshed as a lord... DH was laughing as I struggled to stay on the bar stool and kept floating away... I dare not have anymore so tried to float it off.... needless to say I regretted it later on After I had crawled onto the bed to sleep off the dizziness.. I think it was caused by the heat... and anyways I blame Her... My Right Foot... she totally encouraged it I think she needed me out of the way... I think she's *met* someone.. or at least toes have met across a non crowded pool....
Later on when it was evening and cooler and darker and someone had sobered up... we explored the rest of the Hotel. We took a peek at the kids pool and round that area they have the spa and the gym and the theatre where they have shows every night. Then we made our way past the activity pool and then past the bar pool and abit further along we found the *quiet* pool... it was so inviting and lit up we decided to have a late swim.... slipping into the cool blue still water.... just us and no one else about... this is bliss. Will have to come here tomorrow.
We made our way up to our room and dried off... We have a plasma tv on the wall so watched the new series 5 of Desperate Housewives.. cool! I know abit of what happens now. Malcolm in The Middle is in Spanish and so is the Simpsons lol.. weird... There is no UK news whatsoever we feel completely cut off.. no phones, no local news and no laptops... it is bliddy fantastic. We manage to read the books we brought with us during the three weeks and it was great, we exchanged our books in the book club thing going on in Mike's Bar... which is basically a fancy spiral bookshelf where you put your read books and then take one if there is one you fancy. Sometimes we sat on the balcony relaxing with just our coffees but doing that is abit precarious because you become the buffet for the mozzies Oh well off to bed again because tomorrow is sure to be as stressful as the last few days deciding what to eat and drink

Day 5; DD decides to have a scuba diving lesson in the pool... she is a water baby and loves to snorkel and swim so why not... maybe she will get her Padi certificate while we're here too. Later on we explored the beach.... My Right Foot decided to dig in the sand and try and hide and act all coy... Now I KNOW she's met someone... she only ever acts like this when she's stuck on someone.....
Was back in the quiet pool when I saw two big lads walking round the side of the pool! I stood up and waved my arms and yelled at the top of my voice "OAKIEBOY"!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!! Over here! It's Babysoft (My name on another forum I go to) Steve aka Oakieboy and his partner Ross are newly married and they are Scottish lads. We met up with them for chats throughout the holiday and got them something from WalMarts lol... Yes we did... we went to WalMarts... they have not one but TWO nearby here... lol... But more about that later.
This evening was the Mexican Bazaar evening... stalls are set up in the Hotel grounds for you to browse and hopefully purchase trinkets and stuff.. we haggled and got t shirts and a leather belt cheaper than the gift shop here.
Unbeknowns to me a little romance was developing for DD.....

Those rooms have a big jacuzzi tub and outdoor shower on the balconies. It looked like we'd landed back at Disney's Coronado Springs resort.
