DVD player.
I have a dvd writer in my pc.
Recently I have had some dvd`s sent to me from the States and because they are not PAL, I cannot play them through my recorder/tv here in the UK, so I thought I`d play them through my pc, without success.
It appears that I need to download a dvd player in order for the system to work.
Does anyone know of a free download I could use?

Terry,

Here's one of them:
VLC
I've used VLC with some success and been quite happy with it. Let me know how it works out for you. Especially with regard to those pesky region codes.

Re: DVD player.
I bought a multi setting player from Maplin for just under £30. Works well with american and british DVDs which means I can watch them on the main TV instead of all crowding round the computer.
