Re: Where will you stay next time?
Seeing as we own a villa "over there", obviously we tend to use it as a base.
Whenever we visit though, we can never resist getting our Disney "fix" by spending some time at our favourite resort the GF, usually funded by our DVC points.
You really can`t beat being on-site in order to absorb all of the magic of Disney.
We also like to venture further afield such as taking a DCL cruise or visiting the Keys for example.

Re: Where will you stay next time?
We've stayed onsite once, but I much prefer staying at a villa. I find it so much more relaxing.

If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together.......
there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we're apart...... I'll always be with you.
Winne the Pooh - A A Milne

A friend is a hand that is always holding yours,
no matter how close or far apart you may be.
A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care.
A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.

Villa for us next time.
I hate to say this without sounding snobbish but there's parts of the area I won't stay in now because it is becoming like a Little Britain. Certain hotels on I Drive for example.
If we do a hotel again it will be onsite or one of those Disney affiliated at Downtown Disney.

Re: Where will you stay next time?
Dawn you are so right, some areas have changed so much and not for the better :sigh; It's embarrassing at times, you only have to look at some people and you think "oh dear they are British"
This is your first time in a villa isn't it
You will love it, your own pool, you can sit beside it in the morning or at night in your PJs, it's just lovely.

Re: Where will you stay next time?
On site for me. But I have limited vacation time--usually 10 to 12 nights.
If it were a longer period--perhaps the three weeks many of our members have--I probably would do a split stay. Part on site and part in an off site villa.

Re: Where will you stay next time?
Yike Taja, that is limited...five nights is the most we have ever stayed at one time.
For us, part of the joy is staying on site. There are such nice places to stay and since we are staying only a few nights, we want the full immersion.
Now on where to stay next...for some reason, my DW thought the "kitchy" approach would be to stay at the CR.
I like the Boardwalk (stayed there once), maybe the YC.

Re: Where will you stay next time?
I have more vacation time, Dan, but I can't get away for much more than two weeks at a time. By the time you add a travel day on either side, we're gone 13 to 14 days most trips to WDW. And to be honest, after 10 to 12 nights in a resort, I'm ready for a kitchen and the joy of cooking! Even though I'm not fond of cooking and usually resent the time it takes!
