Re: Birdwatching - anyone out there?

Wehve a variety of feeders in our 'bird tree' We don't see as many now that we have the dog We do get a pair of pigeons that are very funny - one sits on the ground the other sits on a branch and bounces up and down so the food falls out of the feeder and onto the ground for them to feast on

Re: Birdwatching - anyone out there?

Goodness, yes. All manner of critters always seem to visit our backyard, no matter where we live. (Always in neighborhoods, too). We've had a Mama possum and her babies... a turtle... a storm of bees that kept us from our backyard for two days and killed our brand new tree in the process... two squirrels that let us handfeed them... mice (not the cute Mickey kind )... and bluebirds that have nested in our backyard since we moved here. Last Easter Mom and I had to care for one of the fledglings ourselves. (It's explained on my 'Nana's Pet Companions' website, along with video). Here's a picture of the little guy. We named him "Fievel." I hope posting a pic is okay.
