Re: Sending parcels to the USA
You'll have a trick cutting the paper to fit.
Oh. Wait. You can put scissors in your checked luggage, right? I almost never check my luggage so am totally geared into carry on items.

Re: Sending parcels to the USA
We will be in a house anyway Tink, so I'm sure there will be scissors there, if not I can buy some
The nearest post office to Emerald Island is on H27 I think
I've just thought of something else, is there a last posting date for parcels to guarantee delivery before Christmas and would I need proof of posting or anything?

Re: Sending parcels to the USA
There is always a cut off date, but it's pretty close to Christmas. I never can remember what they say.

If you want to track delivery you can pay extra for a tracking number, or a signature, or certified, etc. A tracking number will suffice. You can then call, or go online (will you have access) and check on the delivery status of your package.
Usually though, I just send them off. Whomever I am sending them to calls and lets me know that they've arrived.
There is a Post Office on North 27 (just north of the 192 west intersection) on the right hand side. It's near the Winn Dixie store.
I'd say that since you arrive on the 8th December, you should plan on getting them out on the 9th or as soon after as you can. Most Post Offices are open 9am to 5pm although there are some variances in local areas.Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

Thank you
I think that's the one we've been to before
Good idea about posting them on the 9th, I think that's what I'll aim to do

Re: Sending parcels to the USA
Cool! Thanks Johnie.
I'm not sending out many packages this year, so haven't looked into it.

Re: Sending parcels to the USA
Wendy post there. I always do with my friends gifts that get sent to Georgia. I went to post her gift box last year before we went and the post office wanted £60
, so we posted from Orlando and it cost me £12
. I never wrap them and i also declaire on the customs forms, never had a problem.
Not long now
