how much extra time does a non-direct flight add?
Although we could get direct flights some of the american flights with aa, us air look good value but would mean a change. How long do they tend to add? would you bother or pay more to fly direct?

Re: how much extra time does a non-direct flight add?
Each to his own to be honest but i found that it is the last day that gives my reason to go direct. AA (indirect)flew out of Stansted (sadly no more)which is close to me about 20 mins and Gatwick is 1 hr away for Virgin Atlantic. If i flew AA on my last day of holiday i would have to be at the airport by 08.00 to fly back, if i flew VA then i had to be at the airport by 1600.
I have done indirect but would prefer to now just fly direct but still do check out prices for both incase VA or BA prices are considerably higher...Malcolm
