internet question
Hey all, my trip is coming up in 10 days & i'm trying to plan how to deal with some ebay auctions I have.
We just bought a laptop for our kids (well, & us, hehee) for Christmas. Can I use this in my room at SSR? I hate to sound so stupid but this is our first laptop & I'm not sure how it works in a hotel. Iknow most normal ones seem to advertise free wifi but this IS Disney we are talking about. Is it free or do you have a pay a fee. If anyone knows I would love the help because I'm going to need to go thru & cancel a bunch of auctions unless I can get service there.

Sure you can!
SSR has in room internet at $9.95 per contiguous 24hrs (total ripoff but Disney like you say).
Very easy, just plug the supplied ethernet cable into the ethernet/network port on the laptop and call up internet explorer/firefox. It'll take you right to a page where you accept the charge which will appear on your room bill. It'll work for 24hrs after which you'll be taken back to the page to pay again.

You have to have a Credit Card on file to do it though...

You can also look into getting an air card from a mobile phone carrier too. I have a Verizon air card and it's really wonderful. You will then have internet nearly every place you go.

look on either side of your laptop for an ethernet plug..you should be fine!
Ive got HD, Ethernet and even a phone line on mine!

All rooms come with ethernet cables...if there isnt any then juct ask for one!
