iTunes to go DRM free.
"Apple has agreed to start selling digital songs without copy protection software from its iTunes store along with over-the-air download songs for its popular iPhone, according to people familiar with its plans."

Personally this doesn't have a HUGE effect on me other than moving it around various computers, as I only have the 1 iPod and don't tend to send my songs to friends etc anyway. Still pretty good news for some

Re: iTunes to go DRM free.
It's good news for everyone honestly and heres just one reason why
You buy these MP3s from places and the "protected" ones often need to radio home to base when you try and burn another cd or move them to a new computer. Fine, if the company still exists but recently Walmart decided that online music was just too troublesome and shut down its servers!
Cue a load of people not being able to do much with the music they'd bought! Enough pressure was brought and the servers were turned back on.
With DRM free music, you buy it and you're free, technically if not legally, to do what you will with it so you dont get caught out like that.
It's a great move.

Re: iTunes to go DRM free.
well this does make itunes a little more appealing to me as I thought they still had a bit too much control over what you bought from them as far as what we could do with the songs.
