Re: Would you recommend the Grand Floridian Afternoon Tea
We got that too
It was so empty, only three tables occupied, we asked if there was any space. She was so incredulous that we should dare ask that I cut her off half way through her five minutes speil on how busy they were and asked if I could book for another day. She said she had no idea an stood there arms folded like some dragon guarding its egg.
I'd still like to try it though I guess

Lord help them if they cross their arms with me... I shall so not be responsible for my tongue lashing. I cannot bear rudeness on that scale, where do they think they are? Buckingham Palace? and even then I wouldn't put up with that rudeness. Do these people want their jobs or what?

Re: Would you recommend the Grand Floridian Afternoon Tea
Ok...see I know there are bad cms only because I read about them...I guess we have just been way lucky. Now having said that..
Keith, I booked mine when I did my dinning bookings. I guess that bypassed the she heffer at the podium LOL. Give that a try before your next trip in
BTW... My Mom and I had such a lovely time....we went in right when they started serving tea.

Re: Would you recommend the Grand Floridian Afternoon Tea
We booked ours ahead of time too, but the CM at the podium still "greeted us" (is that what that was?
) and told us to "sit over there and wait" with a flip of her hand.
Most CMs are wonderful. I think it's more that we go so often, we can't help but run into a few who are not happy with what they do. You'll find that in any company, eh? Disney is no exception.Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

Re: Would you recommend the Grand Floridian Afternoon Tea
Oh, I know it, Helly. That set the tone more than anything else!
The server brought the scones too early. We were still having our dried out curling sandwiches, so we asked her to hold up a bit. She flipped her hand at us and rolled her eyes. I'm tellin' ya', must have been a day at the GF or something. They were all snarky that day.Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

Oh I would not have put up with that. I am sorry you experienced that. We have never had anything but impeccable service from anyone at the GF.

Re: Would you recommend the Grand Floridian Afternoon Tea
The server then put the scones on a sideboard and when we were ready brought us cold, crunchy scones. Nope. Not a good experience.

Simple fix really. We don't go back.
We've had excellent service at Mizner's and 1900 Park Fare.
