Re: dollar
I'm not sure of the terminology you are using, but I can tell you that I always get the fuel option. I return the car on (or nearest to) empty and pay the upfront stated charge. It's never failed me yet in being a lesser price per gallon, or at least so close that it didn't matter. You lose with that option when you return the car with more than a dram of gas in the tank as you've paid for the full tank.
Does that help at all, or am I totally missing the point of your post?

Re: dollar
Ah! See? I did miss that point. Yes, $120 seems quite a bit, but I don't know how big the tank on the minivan is, so can't really comment. I take the fuel option at a per gallon rate. That way I can determine if it's market price or comparable.

Re: dollar
I guess I'm confused by those choices. Is car rental so very different then when coming here from the UK as compared to renting here (without coming from another country)?
Can't you just rent the car, period? Then buy your own gas and return it full? That's a pretty standard choice here!Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

Re: dollar
With gas prices the way they are now, I would refill the car on my own. It will be MUCH cheaper than $120 even for a minivan.
Do you have to make your selection now? Usually that is something you can decide when you pick up the car.I am a travel agent with The Magic For Less Travel. Please private message me if you'd like help booking a trip!

Re: dollar
Honestly, I think you should. It just sounds too wicked dicey to me.
Could you wait until you got here and then do a walk up? Or, take a towncar the first day (to your destination) and set up a rental online for the next day and remainder of your stay?
WDW does the Magic Express now, remember.
