      dollar

they have inclusive and gold rates- the only difference for £82 is that the gold rate includes a tank of gas and more than 1 additional driver. Can i pick it up full and return it full or will they add a tank of fuel at over inflated rates to my rental? thanks

      Re: dollar

I'm not sure of the terminology you are using, but I can tell you that I always get the fuel option. I return the car on (or nearest to) empty and pay the upfront stated charge. It's never failed me yet in being a lesser price per gallon, or at least so close that it didn't matter. You lose with that option when you return the car with more than a dram of gas in the tank as you've paid for the full tank.

Does that help at all, or am I totally missing the point of your post?

      no you've not lol

what is their rate for gas versus the normal rate for gas? £80 is a lot to prepay for just a tank of gas!! around $120 ( for a mini van)

      Re: dollar

Ah! See? I did miss that point. Yes, $120 seems quite a bit, but I don't know how big the tank on the minivan is, so can't really comment. I take the fuel option at a per gallon rate. That way I can determine if it's market price or comparable.

      Re: dollar

the deal that they are offering you either pay the extra $120 for a full tank of gas and unlimited other drivers which we don't want or pay for a full tank of gas at their rates. I don't know what to do now

      Re: dollar

I guess I'm confused by those choices. Is car rental so very different then when coming here from the UK as compared to renting here (without coming from another country)?

Can't you just rent the car, period? Then buy your own gas and return it full? That's a pretty standard choice here!

      Re: dollar

With gas prices the way they are now, I would refill the car on my own. It will be MUCH cheaper than $120 even for a minivan.

Do you have to make your selection now? Usually that is something you can decide when you pick up the car.

      Re: dollar

Honestly, I think you should. It just sounds too wicked dicey to me.

Could you wait until you got here and then do a walk up? Or, take a towncar the first day (to your destination) and set up a rental online for the next day and remainder of your stay?

WDW does the Magic Express now, remember.
