Disneyland always had a lot of refurb closures in January and February--and sometimes in November! I would think WDW would be similar. But it's much larger, so more attractions are affected.
Hopefully, the closures aren't just cost-cutting measures. Only Disney knows for sure!

I was thinking about this today...and I thought..ya know I cant see why they would just shut down a ride to save on costs...I mean 'most' things are mechanical...to shut them down to cut mantience costs just doesnt make sense. It would be like buy a vintage car that was completely restored and never starting it..I mean whats the point...mechanical things need to run to stay in a top condition...JMO...

personally i would think that a much easier way to cut costs dramaticaly wouldbe to cut down on parades and shows and fireworks displays
these things are very labour intensive and therefore costly
