I see. Well, I don't really, but I do take your word for it. You know, because it is slang it well may have a less than polite meaning here too. I've learned that about some words through the years. 
So, no offense intended to any of our UK members. In my limited sphere, it means to bop someone with something... nothing of an off color nature at all. It well may have that connotation, but I'm not aware of it...
